Airport

Conference attendees arriving by air will fly into the newly modernized Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). Pittsburgh International Airport welcomes direct flights from nearly 60 U.S. cities  and is served by a score of domestic and international airlines. The conference host hotel, the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Pittsburgh Downtown is located less than 20 miles from Pittsburg International Airport. While the DoubleTree Pittsburgh Downtown does not offer airport shuttle service, a host of transportation options are available to and from Pittsburgh International Airport.

Downtown Pittsburgh features modern skyscrapers alongside historic landmarks and offers lively streets, world-class food, captivating public parks, its famed bridges, and much more. The DoubleTree Pittsburgh Downtown is located in the heart of the city center near an array of downtown attractions. Notable Pittsburgh sights include:

  • Carnegie Museum of Natural History: One of the four Carnegie Museums, Carnegie Museum of Natural History is among the largest natural history museums in the United States. Founded in 1895 by Andrew Carnegie, the museum cares for, studies, and interprets an extraordinary collection of 22 million scientific specimens and objects. 
  • Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens: A green oasis in the middle of Pittsburgh’s vibrant Oakland neighborhood, Phipps, which has provided a world-class garden experience to its visitors since 1893, encompasses 15 acres including a 14-room glasshouse and 23 distinct gardens.
  • The Andy Warhol Museum: The Andy Warhol Museum tells Andy Warhol’s story and explores his legacy through the largest collection of Warhol art and archives in the world.

Conference attendees will also find "foodie heaven" in the Strip District, a panoramic view of the Pittsburgh skyline (and its 446 bridges) from Mount Washington,  and Point State Park at the confluence of three rivers, the tip of the city's "Golden Triangle."
